Switchgear and protection

This category holds the switching, protection and control equipment that the switchboards of PV systems, storage systems and ordinary electrical installations are built from.

The circuit breakers are ABB, Schneider Electric (Easy9), Elmark and Schrack (Amparo) — single-pole, three-pole and four-pole, C curve. There is a Schneider Electric iID residual-current device, Elmark and OBO surge protective devices (SPD), an Elmark contactor and gPV 10×38 mm DC fuses for PV strings.

For the board itself there are IP65 plastic enclosures with a metal mounting plate, polyester enclosures with an in-ground base (for outdoor meter and distribution boards) and a Makel surface-mounted distribution board. With them go the copper busbars, the DIN rail, comb busbars, distribution blocks and terminals, neutral terminals and the support insulators that busbars are mounted on.

Power Design Engineering designs and builds distribution and control switchboards for PV plants, ESS, EV charging and industrial, commercial and public buildings: electrical design, single-line diagrams and calculations, main and sub-distribution boards and AC/DC boards, fitting out, wiring, marking, testing and documentation.
